Mohanad T. Khaled

Mohanad T. Khaled, Managing Partner of BDO Khaled & Co (member of BDO international) and Chairman of BDO Esnad, has extensive experience in Accounting, Auditing, Tax Advisory, Financial Advisory and Business Process Outsourcing services. Mohanad had joined BDO Khaled & Co. in March 1997. On a regional level, Mohanad had been appointed as the Regional Head of Tax for BDO in the Middle East. Prior to BDO, he worked for General Motors and Shell. Besides, he is also the Voluntary Representative for ACCA in Egypt. He served as an Adjunct Faculty in the Accounting Department of the American University for a few years. In addition, Mr. Khaled is either a board member or an active member of a number of prominent Business Associations, and had voluntarily contributed to various legislative and professional standards’ reforms.

Mohanad is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Fellow of the Egyptian Society of Accountants and Auditors (ESAA), and Fellow of the Egyptian Society for Taxation (EST).

He received a B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering degree, June ’94, and a Masters degree of Business Administration (MBA), June ‘97, both from the American University in Cairo.

Andrew P. Baker

Andrew Baker qualified as a solicitor in London in 1972 and has worked in corporate finance and international transactions for many years. Andrew is now Chairman of Allenby Capital Limited, a well-known corporate broker and nominated adviser to companies whose equity capital is quoted on the AIM market of The London Stock Exchange. Andrew was involved in the establishment of the Chamber and has been a director since its inception. He is now also its Secretary and a Counsellor.

Jennette Bradbury

Jennette lived in Hong Kong for several years with the Ghurkas in Sek Kong and spent over 9 years living in numerous parts of Germany, before and after the collapse of the Berlin wall and eventually through unification.

Jennette has been involved in Egypt since 2002 and accompanied many bilateral trade delegations to Egypt from UK.

Jennette fully understands the complexities of working and doing business in Egypt and is a regular visitor but her roots are firmly in UK.

Mr El Kerdany is a quality oriented design professional and team leader with over 35 years of hands-on experience in architectural design, project, and construction management in the Middle East, Canada, and the US. He has extensive experience in business development and representing owners in the coordination of major construction field operations and lease back promotional activities, in addition to property and asset management. His specific expertise includes shopping centers, high rise residential condominiums, office buildings, five stars hotels, recreational facilities, custom and spec home development. He is a board member of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, Executive board member of the Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce, President of Egyptian Council of Shopping Centers, Ex-President of Cairo Al Uruba Rotary Club, and a member of the Syndicate of Engineers, Cairo, Egypt.

Ian Gray OBE

Ian Gray served on the Board of Vodafone Egypt from 2000 to 2017 as Managing Director or Chairman continuously apart from a one year break. He was CEO of Vodafone Egypt living in Cairo for around 7 of those years until becoming Regional Director for Central Europe in Vodafone in 2008 living in Budapest then, for a short time, Istanbul. 

Vodafone Egypt today has over 40million customers, over 10,000 staff and is both market leader and highly regarded for its innovation and its Foundation charitable activities.

Gray retired from full time work in 2010 but returned to the front line as CEO of Vodafone Qatar, living there from late 2015 until April 2018.

Prior to Vodafone, he was CEO of the FTSE listed companies Brown and Jackson PLC and later General Cable PLC. For nearly 20 years prior to this, he held various senior roles in the Thorn EMI Group.

He was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2016 and lives in London and Oxfordshire.

Dr. Yasser Hassan

Dr. Yasser Ismail Hassan is the CEO and Managing Director of National Bank of Egypt (UK). As a subsidiary of the leading financial institution in Egypt the bank focuses on financing trade between Egypt and the UK as well as providing financial services to Egyptians in the UK. His previous position was the Managing Director and CEO of National Bank of Kuwait - Egypt, a leading bank for medium size companies and also active in retail and Islamic financial services.

In May 2019, Dr. Hassan completed an eighteen-year tenure at NBK - Egypt, during which he was Senior General Manager and non-executive Board Member then effective January 2004 and until May 2019 he took over the responsibilities of the Managing Director. As the Managing Director, he was responsible for the bank’s overall performance, budget and strategy. Dr. Hassan also acted as a Senior Financial Advisor to the Capital Market Authority through the Capital Market Development Project since November 2001 until December 2002. Besides, in pursuit of delivering the practical and academic knowledge he gained, Dr. Hassan has been continuing his mission as a part-time professor of Finance at the American University in Cairo since February 1999.

Iman El Sherif

Iman has worked as a Business Relationship Manager for several international companies for the past 6 years, including Infracon and Shimco International.  Before that she worked as a Business Development Manager at the Medical Office of the Egyptian Embassy in London in which she used British expertise to lead collaboration programs in the medical field to improve medical services in Egypt (such as nursing, ambulance, GP surgeries, etc.).  She worked in the international department of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and was leading the project between the UK and capital market authorities in Egypt, UAE, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia to create a duplicate of the institute in those countries. The aim was to introduce obligatory CPD (continuing professional education) to brokerage firms to ensure the professional level in the industry.  Before she arrived to the UK in 2004, she worked as a Communications Advisor at the USAID project (CMD) for 4 years, in which she worked very closely with the Chairman of the Capital Market Authority.

Effat El Sadat

Dr Effat El Sadat is a former member of Parliament, and current president of the Sadat Democratic Party. He is a board member of several associations including Egyptian European Council, a founder of Itmana for social responsibility among other projects for social development in Egypt. Mohamed Omran

Mr Omran was the Misr International Systems (MIS) Chairman and co-founder since mid 1982. During this period MIS grew from small company to one of the largest reputable data communications & security providers in Egypt. Amr Hassanein

Akil Beshir

On October 2014, Eng. Akil Beshir was appointed non-executive Vice Chairman of Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding. Dan de Belder

Dan started his career in 1996 at PwC, qualifying as a chartered accountant, followed by a spell in corporate broking at Credit Suisse First Boston.

He joined Hudson Sandler in 2017 after 13 years at Bell Pottinger and three years at The Communication Group.

 Throughout his career in financial communications, he has advised a range of both UK and international businesses from FTSE 100s through to SMEs.

He has strong experience with emerging markets, notably in Africa and Egypt in particular. He is the lead adviser on the pan-African trade finance bank, Afreximbank, which is headquartered in Cairo and has also recently worked with London-listed Integrated Diagnostics Holdings as well as the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
