Economic Challenges, Political Roadmap & Security Concerns

The Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce kindly invites you to attend the ‘Panel Debate on Egypt: Media Portrayal versus Reality; Economic Challenges, Political Roadmap & Security Concerns’, taking place on Wednesday 28 March at 61 Whitehall in London. The recent incidents in Egypt and rising power of the Muslim Brotherhood and other Muslim parties, have made sensational headlines in the UK. The EBCC has a responsibility to address these incidents and inform the UK business community, government and media of what is really happening in Egypt.

This event offers a transparent discussion on recent events; highlighting Egypt’s political & economic stability and security concerns. The panellists will further address Egypt’s current and future business potential in relation to its political roadmap. It is vital that the Chamber supports Egypt in this critical time, and challenges some of the misconceptions that are spread via the increasingly commercialised media. Egypt’s economy needs a boost of foreign trade and investment to recover from the turmoil of the past year, recovery is also needed for regional stability given Egypt’s pivotal position in the Middle East Region. (See programme attached).

The discussion brings Egyptian experts in business and government - including a senior representative of the Muslim Brotherhood - together in a panel to address growing concerns in the UK about Egypt’s business potential. Final agenda including panellists will be confirmed in due course.
